The meerkats are one of the most watched exhibits in the Adelaide Zoo and there are two areas which house these interesting animals. As I was walking past the exhibit I overheard one of the volunteers talking about the recent catch of this little one - apparently he/she jumped up and caught a passing willie wagtail bird which didn't stand much of a chance of survival against the long powerful claws. Sorry for the wagtail but good to know they haven't lost their natural insticts for hunting.
