St Peters Billabong

Beautiful autumn day mild 21C (70F) today so wandered down to the billabong at St Peters. A billabong is a Wiradjuri (Aboriginal) word that is used for an isolated pond that is left behind after a river changes course. Tried to work out what type of duck this is with its beautiful black head - think it may be Pacific Black Duck but not sure. The water is green from reflection of the trees surrounding the billabong.
