A critically endangered white-cheek gibbon has been born at Adelaide Zoo, only the third born there in the zoo's 130 years of operation. White-cheeked gibbons are born golden in colour and slowly turn black but the females turn golden again when they reach maturity at about five.

Was watching the baby clinging to mom as she went up and down trees and running around the area. Mom finally settled in the branch and the baby turned and poked its tongue out to older sibling which was fine as Mom wasn't watching at the time.
