Glass Contest Entry
I think that glass is some of the most complicated subjects to paint, either traditional or digital. This contest gave me the chance for another try on the theme. Thank you Snopaw for organizing this contest! This is a digital painting which is painted in traditional style for the most part. I used oil colors, the knife and oil brushes. I painted the background using several photos and a scratch on paper as reference. Then I painted wet on dry the glass wet on dry. I found the outcome a bit boring, so I added some roses, also wet on dry. Thereafter I abandoned the traditional pass and used watercolor brushes to smooth out some edges and sharp lines.
