It is a big difference between my shiny modern Kenwood and my Grandmother's old mincer made in Sweden. I remember as I child how much she used it. Both for meat and fish, and also for boiled potatoes to make potato cakes. I had no idea what to photograph for this contest but knew that a quick trip down to the basement, where I have a room with both new and old stuff, would be fruitful. I found the mincer still sitting in the original box, and with something written on the back by my Grandmother. It said: "This is my old mincer. This was written April 1967." I have always wondered why she was writing something on all the boxes she stored, but perhaps it was so that I could see it and read it today ?
