Candid Contest Entry
These people were protesting in front of the Mexican embassy in NYC. On September 26, 2014, in Iguala, Guererro, Mexico, 43 students who were protesting unfair hiring practices by the Mexican government were killed. Organized by the Mayor of Iguala and his wife, the students were captured, turned over to members of the Mexican drug cartel, tortured and burned to death. The government has taken some responsibility but protests continue.
This was taken at night, thus the less than perfect photography.
