Happy Thanksgiving to everyone on FAR!
I want to give thanks to all members and the FAR team for the support given to me in the last year.

Thanksgiving is a Holiday in Northern America, but many of our members are living in faraway countries and might do not know what this holiday means. I myself had never heard of the holiday while in Germany, because I grow up on the wrong side of the Iron Curtain.
So for those which do not know about a few facts:
In the USA Thanksgiving is celebrated on the fourth Tuesday in November. It was declared by President Abraham Lincoln in 1863. The Holiday is based on an event commonly called The First Thanksgiving, which was celebrated by the Pilgrims in 1621 after the first harvest in their new homeland. It was attended by 53 Pilgrims and 90 American Indians by the account of Edward Winslow, one of the leaders at the Mayflower.
In Canada Thanksgiving is celebrated on the second Monday of October celebrating the Harvest and Blessings of the past year. It was declared by the Parliament of Canada as holiday in 1957
