The illustration above is of a protester (against the recent extra-judicial shootings in the US) who has just had his eyes sprayed with a mist of pepper and is in the process of being cooled with a splash of milk provided by his fellow protesters. For those who like poetry, I wrote the following to accompany this :) -

My eyes, my eyes! The evil they have seen!
How one man did his fellow man demean.
Quick to draw his gun, quick to shift the blame,
When he took his life in the law's good name!

This and much worse than this, my poor eyes saw,
Till the camel's back broke 'neath one last straw.
To the streets I took, my pent anger to vent,
To the powers that be, a sign must be sent!

My eyes, my poor eyes! Soaked in pepper-spray!
In their vain bid to keep my protest at bay.
But with the milk of kindness to douse the burn,
Back onto the breach, I once more return!
