The Gippsland Water Dragon is a large lizard. It is a good swimmer and dives into the water when disturbed. It can remain submerged for around half an hour. Total length up to 80 cm (32 inches) including tail. This guy was trying to blend into the rock crevice unsuccessfully. I didn't zoom in as I was trying to show the overall size and I have previously posted image of just his head in my Zoo folder.
