The Tour Down Under was first held in South Australia in 1999 and since that time has grown in size and recognition to become the biggest cycling event in the Southern Hemisphere. Today was Stage 3 of the Tour and the cyclists left Norwood where I live at 11am for the 143km (89 miles) race through the Adelaide hills, orchards and vineyards.
