When I was a child (a long time ago now) we used to race around Granite Island following the goat tracks and clambering over the huge boulders. Now environmental boardwalks and stairs have taken over and everyone must be mindful of the vegetation and animals. Can understand why and it certainly makes it an easier walk but sometimes miss the more adventurous paths.
