The fields near where I live on the coast are a pretty sight in May. A lot of them grow the Rape seed for Rape seed oil and though they do look lovely in the sunshine they play havoc with hayfever sufferers - I'm constantly rubbing my eyes - and the scent from them is overpowering! However, as they do brighten up the landscape I thought I'd like to capture them. This is my impression of the view looking over the fields to the sea with the wind turbines in the sea looking like some sort of sea monsters trying to escape. I used acrylics on 12" x 10" acrylic linen type paper for this.
