Traditional Artwork of the Month Contest Entry
This is an image I created to accompany a poem 'Vanessa and Rolando' I posted on our sister site, FanstoryReview which may be found here: http://www.fanstory.com/displaystory.jsp?id=790509. It's too long for me too post on here but in summary it tells of the early love between Vanessa and Rolando which was soured due to inevitable circumstances. Rolando perished before a reconciliation could be achieved between the pair prompting Vanessa in her grief to cleave his head and store it in a pot which she watered with her tears. A bit of a macabre ending but you can lay the blame at John Keats' door for it was his poem 'Isabella' inspired the poem. Happy viewing! R
