This is a painting of our family member Lee. He was with us during my husbands time in the Military so he got to travel from one end of the United States to the other. He was a Lab- Collie mix and one of the best friends we had. He was loving and very protective. One of the things I love to tell people about him is he was also very polite and had manors, If he went outside when he'd come back in the house he would stand by the door for one of us to wipe his feet before he came into the room. Never have had a dog that will do that, and I'm a bit of a clean freak, guess Lee must have known that, because this is something we never taught him, he just came by it naturally. We lost him about 10 years ago. We've had other dogs since but Lee was and still is the one that we talk about the most. Family like him can never be replaced. I didn't do justice for him in this painting but the photographs we have of him are pi elated so I had to do this one from memory.
