I taped off an oval shape on the canvas and applied black gesso and blue oils to the inside background of the oval. Experimental brush strokes to give the impression of northern lights. I used various shades of blue in the trees, snow and sky. This is my attempt at a version of one of Bob Ross' paintings. I have to admit I'm a little nervous to submit one of my paintings since I have had no formal training and I know I lack a great deal of technical knowledge. I do however enjoy taking risks and breaking artistic rules ;)
