Female Cormorant Close Up
It is not easy to capture Cormorants in the water because they swim very fast and only come up for air or to swallow a fish. This lady was kind enough to stay up a minute or so As I adjusted camera settings in order to catch her in the setting sun just right. I had to wait for her to go up and down 5 times before I had white balance adjusted, By then she was right below me by the boardwalk.
I loved that Emerald eye and her fine regal pose.
All manual settings.handheld/Kelvin Scale for white balance control
