My favorite bird, the Hummingbird and my favorite art mediums, India ink and watercolors come together here. Hummers are a joy to watch. The Mama must feed her little ones every 20 minutes. She has lots to do. She will drink nectar, hunt, eat bugs and then regurgitates the slurry so the babies can digest it. Baby's cannot drink pre-made nectar like adults do because there is not enough protein in it. Mom needs to search, capture, digest and spit up bugs for protein. If Mama did not do this unconditional "Love Feeding" the little Hummers would become severally crippled, or die. So Feed On and Grow! ~ tweet! tweet! Wait Hummmmmmmm!
