In case I mislead anyone with my last post....there is NO CHANCE of the TULIPS trying to poke through the ground quite yet.

This is another one of my favorite spots to document the changing seasons at my place. It's almost always part of the route I take when snow-shoeing. I love the combination of softwood and hardwood trees as well as the one tall wonky tree that refuses to fall despite being nothing more than a big, dead tree trunk.

Took this photo on a crystal clear early afternoon a day after a snow storm had left everything absolutely covered with snow. The gorgeous colors in the sky attested to the very cold temperature and helped make this look like a winter wonderland to me.
