I live by the sea and we have a lovely beach here, mostly sandy but there are stretches where we have lots of pebbles and shells. My children and now my grandchildren and I love to walk and collect fossils and pretty shells or pebbles - my pockets are usually loaded when we return home!

Every week my 4 year old grandson and I together with his Great Grandma have a painting day. This was my effort this week. I wet the watercolour paper thoroughly, dropped random colours in, added a few salt grains and sprinkled water on. After it was dry, I picked out pebble and shell shapes with pen and ink.
