Travertine Creek, Arbuckle Mountains
Sticks and Stones
Art In Nature Contest Entry
This painting is of the Chickasaw Recreation Area located in the heart of the Arbuckle Mountains. Wild fires and drought have ravaged the area and the creek is down to a trickle. In spite of all this the area is still beautiful. We were teasing the girl on the dam about giant turantulas and snakes. She was ready for all threats with that hoisted stick.
