Plumeria rubra is one of the 45 species of the Plumeria family which are native to tropical America, but got introduced into other tropical and subtropical areas, especially in Asia. The flowers smell like a mix of coconut and peaches filling the air around them with fragrance. Plumeria rubra is thought to be in the ancestry of many known hybrids.
