A place of mystery

~The Old Bridge~

Traditional Artwork of the Month Contest Entry
One of my favorite drawings! It's an old one ( I drew it back in the Spring of '04 and sold the original shortly thereafter ) and it contains a few 'abstract' elements ( nothing overly weird,it's simply not a 100% 'realistic' landscape drawing! ) Anyway,it's a depiction of the long abandoned, dangerously decrepit, almost overgrown, and (in my opinion ) very picturesque mid Nineteenth century vintage stone bridge that spans the marshy area once known as Dead Creek a few hundred yards from where that semi stagnant body of water oozes slowly into the Hudson River. It's a 'peacefully forgotten' place of mystery and I had a lot of fun drawing this picture of it!
