we emigrated to New Zealand TWICE.. but himself, my ex, missed the pubs in UK so insisted on returning. I loved it there and all but one of my children, he did not give it a chance. I found the art world there fascinating too. Evidently the Maori nation was almost on the point of collapse when 7 Maori artists got together and began painting and from there sprung a stream and then a rushing torrent- I adored the wood carving, as I also wood carve /east european style/ but most I brought back has been stolen by west indian thieves who seem to think it is theirs, when they stole a small zulu head my ex had brought me as a present /in many of my paintings, much in my pictures is straight from my own environment/
