Evidently the Maori nation was almost on the point of collapse when 7 Maori artists got together and began painting and from there sprung a stream and then a rushing torrent- I adored the wood carving, as I also wood carve /east european style/ but most I brought back has been stolen by west indian thieves who seem to think it is theirs, when they stole a small zulu head my ex had brought me as a present /in many of my paintings, much in my pictures is straight from my own environment/
