Oriole in flight.
Since accidentally getting a couple shots of orioles in flight I have tried to improve on my technique for capturing flight. I have found that a shutter speed of at least 1/2500 sec is helpful and focus is often a problem so a little depth of field is nice too. To that end I have been following a suggestion that I frequently make in reviews (experiment with a higher ISO) and shooting at ISO 1600 all month. This one was shot at ISO 1600, f 9, 1/3200 sec.
