Pretty, Beautiful, or Unusual Weed - 1 Contest Entry
There are always voluntaries growing on the lawn and in the garden. I let them grow or dig them up if they are on a wrong place, especially when I do not know what they are. Most of them turn out with pretty flowers. People call them weed, I call them plant.
The plant in my picture gets about 1 ½ foot tall. The leaves are about 2x1 inches. The flowers are only about 4/8 inches and open late afternoon, closing up again in the morning. They are singular on long branching stalks. The seed pots are tight little red balls. I will be thankful for any information on this plant.
