When I moved into my house my garden was just a heap of leveled builders rubble with about four inches of soil on top. It took hours of work with a pick-axe & a wheel barrow to remove the stones & rubble then a ton of top soil, before I could plant anything. I went to the West of Ireland for a week-end to visit friends & came back with three bulbs of this Montbretia...they have multiplied & multiplied & now I have more than enough this is the first to flower this year & it brings me right back to my ROOTS in the West!
