Elk

Somewhere in the huge forest where the trees hold the sky, where the echo never goes through the thick branches, I am walking on the velvet grass and listening to the nature. Only there between giant trunks of the trees you can see how eternal and indifferent this world can be. We come and go, live and die, fight and love?the trees are still here. The sky, the rocks, and the water: everything is calm, stable, silent. I am coming closer to the huge oak and placing my hand on the rough bark. I am thinking?when I die, maybe, another woman , or a man will come to this tree and sit in a shade. The tree will be there. We laugh, we play, we struggle and hate, the trees still grow, the water is still running in the creek, and the sky is patiently waiting for us.
I lean my tired back on the trunk of the oak and try to learn patience and serenity from this private world. I watch the birds singing in the sky, and butterflies dancing around the flowers. I see the elk coming to the water and making soft sounds with its steps, ?As a deer panteth for the water?? I am thinking?: we all belong to this nature, we all are made from parts of the sky and the ocean; from parts of plants and flowers. We all are paintings of His Art. Why don?t we learn the patience from nature? Our path here is not long. Why hate, why fight? We all have our problems and trials. We are so busy with them, so we should make time to learn how to listen, how to love, and how to not hate.

Take your time. One day just stop on your way, sit under a tree, smell flowers, and listen to the birds. We will come and go, but, they will be always there.

Original work, oil on canvas. I was walking between the woods, looking around, and enjoyed the silence of the nature. I was writing another story trying to express the feelings that were coming to my heart. I placed these feeling and serenity of the nature of my canvas.
