AUGUST 2017 OpenChallenge-AnyMedium Contest Entry

This is the cactus commonly called Christmas Cactus and sold under this name in the holiday season. This plant has its very own timing. It blooms for years in March or April. This year it bloomed at Easter.

I finished the painting yesterday, August 19th, 2017.

I was working on this painting of and on since the last blooming. Sorry, but I did not count the hours.
