this is the famous boardwalk of Deauville, France where all movie stars walked one day, especially during the American Film Festival each summer.
The boardwalk, 656 meters long and 7 meters wide is made of red ironwood or azobé (Lophira alata) an extremely strong an longlasting wood. It was constructed in 1922 and is still in perfect conditions;
Queen Elisabeth visited it inside her Rolls Royce !
