I am always on the lookout for images I can use for mixed media backgrounds. The background for this was at a local pond. I also look for articles I can use in my mixed media. ....{1) Mother Frog giving her little one a bath in an oaken washtub, while her other youngster waits, is a small fountain for inside the home..... {2} The lighted mushroom lamp that really does light up (about 8" high) was another article I used in the image.....{3} The third article was a little fairy about 5" high who was sitting on a small mushroom. I removed her from that mushroom and had her sit atop the lighted mushroom. ....{4} The little frog swimming to the right I created using the parts of the two little frogs. I also added a glow the lamp an a special ring of light around the fairy. The light radiates across the image and becomes darker the further you get from it. Since the frogs and fairy had little color I added more. I also smudged the sky to give the image a different look. Cutting and pasting took place to plus some embossing. I also used the Fractalius filter on the background........


This image is a story about Mother Frog giving her little ones a bath. It's at the end of the day and she needs a little light to help her wash the kids. A mushroom lamp helps light up the situation and of course the little fairy lookout shares some of her own. Naturally there's always one little mischief-maker who after his bath decides to go for a swim. I'm sure he'll find some duckweed to get into. As soon as mom finds out he'll get into a little trouble.
