We Are Hanging In There!

by MKFlood

i have been thru many hurricanes and no this irma is NOT the most powerful one. when Irma lands they predict a category 4 when it hits down in Miami. the most powerful one i survived thru was Camille..the eye past over me in Gulfport, Mississippi , August 9, 1969 category 5, 220 mph wind storm surge of 9ft. ever since then the other hurricanes just dont compare and i have enough sense to not be by water. tornadoes is what you have to watch for. when this come around everyone buys up all the food and gas. folks act like it is the end of the world and the most aggravating thing is waiting to get resupply and things go back to normal. Life goes on. there is one thing that kinda ties me to these storms..i was born on the 1st day of hurricane season (June 1st) and my last name is flood. comical huh?..maybe i should have named my children after hurricanes..nahhh..lol. well i pray for safety for all no matter what part of the country that your in. to my fellow Floridian FAR members hang in there!!! by monday all this will be over with and the work begins by cleaning it all. we have lots of practice..wink. be safe and yall take care..like i used say all the time..YALL COMEON BACK NOW ...YAHEAR! wink
