Babies Contest Entry
This is "Nuu". He was born in Feb 12, 2017. Nuu is a nickname all babies get in Thailand...it means little mouse.

At what age do toddlers/children begin to recognize racial differences? Katz and Kofkin (1997) found that infants are able to non verbally catergorize people by race and gender at 6 months of age. The infants looked longer at an unfamiliar face of a different race than they did at an unfamiliar face of their same race. The researchers argue that, because this finding is very consistent in 6 month olds , ?initial awareness (of race) probably begins even earlier? (Katz & Kofkin, 1997, p.55).

I am a Caucasian living in Thailand and this infant somehow knew I was different from his family and friends.
