Stellar Apple Season at My Place

....'Dancing Girl' Apple Trees

Couldn't resist another Apple image today! Spring was very kind to the Apple Trees at my place....all the trees blossomed w/o a killer frost doing in the tiny buds during their formative stage. A frost during the spring apple blossom period means a much smaller crop in Sept/Oct. and a heavy frost may mean no Apples at all. Obviously, NOT a problem this season.

The two Apple Trees in this image (part of a VERY old Orchard) are two of my favorites. I call them the 'Dancing Girls' b/c unlike typical Apple Trees they have these incredibly long limbs that twist and reach out like a dancer w/ her arms stretched out above her head....lol

Photo taken mid-day.....mostly overcast skies. I am not the only one so completely enthralled by these wonderful splotches of bright red everywhere. The Orchard is really popular w/ all the animal 'neighbors' this time of the year as well. I see Deer and Bear frequently and even a Moose now and then....and pretty sure- although I won't swear- there was a Cougar halfway up the tree on the left several years ago.
Post Type: Photography
Mixed Media: None | Far Orchard at my place. Partly cloudy skies. Full frame. Sharpened just a tad. Narrow border added. All manual settings.
