Magnolia grandiflora known also as Southern Magnolia or Bull Bay is a large tree native to the South eastern United States from coastal North Carolina to Central Florida, East Texas and Oklahoma.
The tree could get to 90 FT [ 27.50 m] high. It has large green leaves of 7.9 inches [20 cm] long, 4.7 inches [12 cm] wide.
It produces large fragrant flowers of 12 inches [30 cm] in diameter.
The tree is endemic to subtropical forests at the Gulf Coast and south Atlantic, but cultivated in warm areas around the world.
