I always hate the first couple of months w/ no flowers in my gardens. Doesn't help that the month of November is the LEAST sunny month of the year in the North-East. On top of that it's hunting season and although I have posted my land and quite literally live out in the woods I looked out the other day and saw a hunter all dressed in orange walking through my gardens.

Grabbed my dog and my camera and went out to confront him....lol He took off in the opposite direction...perhaps wisely for BOTH of us. It had snowed the previous evening so Comanche and I trudged around the woods instead. It has also been unusually windy for November but I love the way the wind has plastered the young Maple Trees and the soft woods w/ snow.

Took this photo mid morning.....no sun but the sky was a very pale blue. Couldn't help but think how the hunter and I were interested in 'shooting' such different things.
