I did this shot to combine my love of deer skulls and our upcoming 25th wedding anniversary. One of my most involved setups,starting with covering an shower curtain liner with sand,then smoothing it out with a feather after placement of the skull. I then arranged the rose with the baby's breath between the rack and added our wedding bands.I had two monarchs to work with;the first one flew off after a couple of shots. The second one was a bit more co-operative,but I had to reposition it on the skull several times when it kept crawling up the antlers. Finally got the shot I was looking for with it's wings open!
