Birds Photos Contest Entry 
I waited a while to get this shot. I thought a storm was coming in because it was getting gusty, enough to create some small white caps. This poor cormorant was having trouble keeping his wings open so he could dry them. For me though it was a fun sight to see The cormorant was standing so close to the rocky shore that every time a wave hit it, it splashed him. Those white streaks you see are the water droplets from those splashes, maybe even from his wings. The shot was taken on September 3rd at my brother's seaside cabin in Maine. I hope you enjoy!
