Abandoned Contest Entry

In life he must have been handsome,this stag,monarch of some woodland realm;how his journey through this world ended we will never know. At some point what remained was found and hung off the makeshift ladder of this old barn,now silver with age. I was told this skull had been hanging there for many years. So there it remains,weathering the elements,forgotten,nothing more than an echo of a past life.
