I took this picture of an elderly chief priest at a wedding in South India last year. Generally traditional Brahmin Scholars are sought-after to conduct the rituals and religious ceremonies in a Hindu wedding. He was leading a group of 6 young priests and kept a hawk's eyes on their performing the rigorous rituals.
The Brahmins wear a holy thread across their left shoulder and a white caste sign on their forehead.
Camera: Canon SX130IS, standard settings, image converted to black and white, cropped and with slight adjustments crezized to FAR requirements.
Enjoy!
