2018 has been even busier than is typical for seeing deer around my place. Not a single day goes by that I don't see White-tailed Deer at least several times a day. They follow the very well worn trails through the snow leading from the woods down to my gardens and especially over to the Apple Trees.

What happens most often is that either Comanche or I see them out the windows. If I see them first I will usually try to get Comanche in her crate so I can open the door and photograph them out in the open. If Comanche sees them first (much more typical) I have to settle w/ photographing them through the windows.

In the image seen here Comanche spotted them first and made a real ruckus.....a shame too b/c there were actually six of them out there in one group. Fortunately, I was able to capture three of them.....the two on the right looking towards the house listening to Comanche barking while the one at the left is already getting ready to get out of there...lol
