This is the third in my Easter Series. His compassion for us is shown before he dies for our sins. "Father, forgive them, they know not what they do." (Luke 23:34) and to the thief, he states "This day you will be with me in Paradise." (Luke 23:43) He loved his mother and wanted her to be cared for, he says to Mary, "Woman, behold your son." (John 19:26-27) then he looks to heaven and says, "Into your hands, I commit my spirit." (Luke 23:46). He did it all so that we might live. What love he had for us.
