sits alone always- can't say I was alone, the uni students were very friendly and supportive through all my problems there, someone cut off all the black buttons of my clothes in the wash room /actually an english person/ because I mixed with Africans /Guninea Bissau/ the Deutsche bank lost thousands of my Grant- until I got a p/t job teaching, the Africans and other students always cooked an extra meal for me at nights, and they were always around for a chat though I was much older. They seemed to realise that I did not need ostracising for, even though I went to the small Russian Church there /my dad was orthodox/. It was a pretty good environment and I worked very hard, both on my poetry of which I wrote books and books and sketches as well as my Uni essays and study but english-styly, nothing before 9 am! none of this up at the crack of dawn which the Germans indulge in. They might be in better humour more often if they didn't drag themselves out when they are still half asleep!
