According to Wikipedia there are 250 individual members of this genus. So after perusing several images and finding no specimen that exhibited middle age pattern balding of the Thorax, I decided to stick with the general classification. This little guy was fascinating to watch it go about its business. When it landed of the flower it was covered in pollen from head to stinger. All the while it was gathering nectar it was at the same, ridding itself of pollen by rubbing every part of its body against the sticky Stamens - cool. I resisted the temptation to shift white balance to favor the color of the blossom. So, no post processing color, contrast or tonal adjustments were made. Keeping it natural after all this take is about the Bee.
