A nice idea. It works well as Christmas card as for the entire season. The angle of the shot is intriguing, just as if we look up at a gigantic gingerbread house.
The new created background works well. Its colors emphasise the house. The text is fine in sentiment and style, but it could use a bit more space. It looks a bit squished into the frame. I think reducing the size of the house just a tad and would give the needed space.

You're probably right about the image being a tad larger than it should be. I won't change the size of the house now, but will definitely be more aware in the future. I think I was overwhelmed by the stunning appearance of the gingerbread house. When you have something like this you want to show it off with the best advantage you can. LOL... You may be laying on the ground in diabetic shock, but I bet you'll have a smile on your face! I bet visions of sugarplums are dancing in you head. This house was SO magnificent, I don't think you can even look at it without going into diabetic ShOcK! I couldn't resist taking a shot of this gingerbread house. I thought the detail was amazing! The baker even put confections inside the house....and lights on the ceiling. How cool is that? I'm So glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for the wonderful and comical review...and New Year wishes!
