As always, your words are the most "real" thing on here. I am NOT offended one bit!!! My Uncle (Mom's brother) lived with our family till he died. Ronnie had Down syndrome and he was a wonderful person. I think it made my four brothers and I much more caring people, we know that even though someone looks different and may be slower moving they are still valuable. We don't judge! My mother fought for all his rights and education and work privledges.
I smiled when I saw the title and the sweet face on that dog. God blesses a beautiful nature in place of other things it seems. Your Dane reminds me of my mixed Lab I used to have....same ears!!! 120 plds of sweet disposition!!
Great photo!

Faye, ya just do my heart good and certainly made my day! My son, Chase was in school from the age of 6 weeks. His syndrome so rare after 22 years still have no clue the cause, but I don't need to know, I know the source of his being, he is my son, my only child. I know all too well the fight of the century your Mom took on, not only the fight, much more. My entire family has grown through our stuggles to help Chase incorporate his world into the 'normal'. What the heck is normal anyway--I know it ain't me!!--

Hi LowRider. Nice photo of your dog. I love that sharpnes and details, but maybe I miss some because your dog is so black. Shallow DOF works fine here. Nice sparkles in his eyes. These flowers in front of the dog is little bit distracting, but, that is just a point of view. I would like to see your dog in movement, or jump if possible. You did choose great perspective, background is blurred and distanced enough. I would put more space in direction of his look to have rule of thirds. I have dog also, smaller one, and he is jumping like mad. Her name is Ela and you can see her on my web page www.sencar.hr . Senn

The first thing I noticed was the catch light in Rokki's eye, a must for a great portrait, the second thing I noticed was the big drop of drool comming out of Rokki's mouth......now that's what makes it a 5 star! He looks so content sitting there among the flowers, and the colors of the background are a great contrast to his beautiful coat. A more noble animal I've never seen! Great job.

I absolutely love the beauty you portray in this companion capture, LowRider. Such beautiful casts of lighting to really accentuate his gentle spirit, so alert, so inquisitive. The accents of chamomile florettes in the lower framing and the soft blends of blurred backdrop hue really pull the eye into his majestic posturing and the soul that would melt any heart. What a sweetheart, so evident the nurturing and bond the two of you brought to one another!

I'm wondering if you ever let your close female friends borrow the "Crotch" Rocket whenever they were in need of help. ;-) I don't think that it's another pet photo because his image is so intense. The composition looks wonderful. I like the field of daisies he's lying on and I like his little drool. Thanks for sharing a special part of your life.
