Needs to be either more clear and detailed or less placing it in the abstract category. Also the blue background is too bright and intense, distracting instead of complementing. don

    Thank you very much Don,
I will look closely at the painting and take your advice in consideration. To change will need time. I am a very slow worker. I am not well and have not painted for many weeks.

I was ill with some kind of infection on and off for the last three months. It never got cleared completely what it is. I am better now and hope to recover soon completely.

I like the color you used in the background here, it works beautifully with the subject. Great job of locating the subject slightly off-center, and at a dynamic angle.

I heartily reciprocate the good wishes. We have a different kind of Thanksgiving festivals in India and it falls in March. Different parts of the country celebrate differently. But the underlying sentiment is the same. I like the simple but eye catching art. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you very much for your kind review. Your information are greatly appreciated. I have to look the Indian Festival up. It sounds very interesting.

Impressive control of digital filters, etc. Fall colors very apt, but perhaps a little dull. I am assuming the three figures are meant to be ears of corn. If so, it would be nice to have some detail of individual kernels. Again, impressive use of digital programs. Cheers, JR

Thank you very much for your kind review! There were no digital filter used or photo used for this piece. This is a painting done with digital brushes and palette knife in a specific program.

A beautiful painting. Blue and brown are blended. Love these colours. Before I read your notes I think it is a traditional painting. But finally I get know that this is a digital painting. A very interesting and attractive artwork. I do not celebrate Thanks Giving. That is why I am curious of what that blue colour signifies.

Thank you very much for your attentive review.
The blue color is not of significance for Thanksgiving. The painting is of three corn ears used as decoration on a door. The corn ears are often used as Thanksgiving decoration because it was the grain of survival for the Pilgrims throughout their first hard winter. Corn originated in the Americas and was given to the Pilgrims by Native American [American Indian]. I used the blue door to emphasize the corn ears. Does this answer your question?

Cleo, nice to find this post which has a charm to it reminiscent of Thanksgiving.

You understand your colour wheel to include blue and yellow , colours which support each other thus causing this image to pop visually for us.

Skillfully applied strokes with a confident style gives this piece a cohesiveness that we only see in confident and mature artists that know and understand their medium.

Your crop is tight and good to bring the subject matter to us up close and personal. The detail is impressionist in nature and shows detail as well as texture.

The light source is seen and felt. It is a warm image with hues of orange to further allure us and keep us in the frame. It is also quite vibrant and in it's vibrancy it is dynamic.

I would also like to make a comment on your signature which is quite important in artistic presentations. The signature is small and humble and that is the way to keep it for you allow your art to speak loudly for you.

Quite the radiant post. Happy Thanksgiving to you.

This very cute. I love the richness of the textures and intense blue color of what seems be a door. I love that not there here a turkey, if not the fruit of the mother earth. Great job, with lovely notes too. Well done
