This is a wonderful image you have captured of this finch flying above.Like how the flight feathers are illuminated by the sunlight as well as the catchlight in it's eye.Focus is sharp and the non distracting background makes an excellent backdrop. A very well composed image that's very enjoyable to view!

I shoot birds all the time and I have managed a very few like this. I know this is very difficult to get. I can catch the great blue heron but that is a lot different than this! Good job! I think you would have had a very good chance of winning the bird contest with this!

WOW! Love those outspread wings and angular shot. Focus is super sharp and along with the focus you've captured a beautiful shot of this bird in flight. This has a very serene feel and was truly a joy to view! Definitely worth 6 stars!!!

The fully spanned wings,with each feather individually shown is excellent. The sun against the reddish brown of the finch brings his brown eyes to the forefront.
