Cool capture. So did you lay down on the tracks to take this? Braver than me. Wink. Lol. The clarity is great. The angle of the shot of the tracks leading off into the horizon is great. The capture of the light is great
The image is balance and eye appealing to the viewer. Good eye and great job overall

Thank you. I have a large screen on my Cannon that rotates so I can put the camera down low but still see what I am shooting without having to lay down on the tracks. LOL

A beautiful black & white picture looking down the railway lines with a carpet of autumn leaves lying between them the rails leading the eye to the heart of the picture & the trees on either side. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

A brilliant photograph. From the low down central POV you have chosen which is superb, you have managed with great clarity and excellent long DOF a huge amount of detail of all types, from flora living and dead in the form of leaves and foliage/trees, the worn wooden track runners, the narrow steel track running right as far as the eye can see, and the layout and density of the area from a really great and rare angle. In the furthest distance, a dark tunnel with possibly a train carriage in it looms, with the B&W filter and settings finely honed to capture all this sharp detail throughout. Great work and very well done :)

Hello Meg
Good initial impact. That rail grabs you and holds your attention until you lift your eyes and wonder what that is off in the far distance. My first thought was it must be a train pulling away but then I realized it was a tunnel. I really like that depth of field.
Next I focused on the foreground and really like your light treatment. I like the way you have concentrated on the lower right side and the light falls off as you move to the left. And the details are sharp and clear up tight. Well done. Last the depth of field is great with everything drawing my eyes to the tunnel beyond,
I like this story. Thank you for sharing.

Interesting perspective Meg you must have got down low to get the rail line so nicely heading into the distance to what looks like a tunnel. Good use of black and white and the filters. :) Mary

Pin sharp focusing.
Nice interplay between lights and shades.
Impressive b&w rendition. Excellent tonal range.
Nice features & varied textures.
Good lighting & framing.
Good perspective & long depth of field...
