Wow! What fantastic details and clarity on the hummingbird.The bright, bold colors of the flowers off set the green nicely. The only thing I may have done differently is to lighten the greens a little so that the bird pops out in the picture. Excellent in flight photo! Good luck in the contest!

well taken shot this,you caught the humming bird just right here,good use of the exposure in this,my only suggestion would be to crop of the right flower and bottom flower,would make this stronger,good luck in the contest...brian

Great capture. I really like the range of colors here. Great stop-action shot of the humming bird. The lighting and colors are good. The humming bird has good detail and is well focused.

at first glance i didn't see the little one, just the flowers. then when i clicked on it, there was that cutie pie. the focus is incredible and the position is, too. so much detail! everything from the wings to the little feet are crystal clear. the backdrop of the flowers works so well. i am so moved by this! how can someone not feel lighthearted upon seeing such a lovely creature in a beautiful setting?

today in the northeast it is about 72 degrees and the sun is shining. after viewing this, i took a little break from work and sat in my car with the windows down and felt that warm air. this photo encouraged me to feel the day instead of taking a break somewhere indoors.

I have tried and tried and will keep trying to get a second one this good in detail. Love that the wings were also captured along with the colorful flowers... This is a wonderful surprizing shot! The focus on the flowers seems a little blurred which in turn gives this wonderful little hummingbird full attention making it stand out above the rest wonderfully! The colors here are very nice, love the pinks against the green, once again giving the hummingbird a look of nature surrounding it. Lighting is good, focus and details are very nice. composition is excellent. Very nice capture of this little surprise guest in the lens!
