It's amazing to me that the same colors could look like cloud formations on one canvas and the same colors can look like the waves of the ocean on another one. great job. Susan

I like how this one looks very much like an abstract seascape. The multiple shades of blue add nice depth and the white creates movements and lovely whitecaps.

Yes I love your impression of the colors and movement of the Sea !
To me I see the bottom of the Sea ! but it's an abstract , right .
So I guess the viewer can see many things . Excellent colors used here and it's a wonderful entry for the contest .
The best of luck with the contest !

I love the sea! I love the colors that can be seen when studied and how much the colors change in the different lighting, here this shows the sea on a blue sky day, the various shades of blue and even some green show the different degrees of light again but this also shows the motion of the water It's awesome to see the upward movement here! Beautiful soothing blues with just a hint of green and tiny splashes of white! Great entry for the contest, best of luck to you!

This is yet another great abstract art piece.
This one makes me feel like I am looking out of a window covered with water drops to get this lovely choppy water in the sea.
Great color choices with nice strokes.
Great piece, thanks for sharing and good luck.

Well this painting is properly named. It definitely shows the power of movement. Just wonderful. You have such a sense for differential color placements. It really makes one stop, see and ponder how paint itself can make the appearance of forms and movement. A lovely painting. Reasons for my five star vote.

Many thanks, Sean, for your great review. Yes, they're a lot of fun to do - have you ever tried this method? I like the element of surprise in what will appear! Suzanne

I experimented with a similar technique many years ago while custom painting an old automobile,Suzanne! Maybe someday I'll try it in a 'traditional art' piece! : )
-
I'd like to see that Sean! I used to have an old Mini and my daughter and her then boyfriend painted it with similar effects! Suzanne

I think that custom painted old Chevelle was destroyed in a dirt track racing 'incident' several decades ago,Suzanne, but I MUST have some old photos of it around! If I find'em I'll post one! : D

You are able to achieve great movement with your technique. This does indeed look like turbulence in the sea. Your color palette is spot on. Best of luck in the contest.

I love your technique and talk about in my art posts. So clever. This is a beautiful sea impressionistic painting. I love all the shades and tones of blue with just a hint of green giving it the true sea feeling. The blowing of air makes for textured waves and splashes. Very nice strokes and creativity. Lovely. Wish we ad a BLUE art contest. This would be a winner.
